Walter B. Arnold, Jr. Youth Hall of Fame Community Service Award
In 2001, the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition Board of Directors officially established the Youth Hall of Fame Community Service Award to honor the vision and dream of Walter B. Arnold, Jr. This award commemorates those students whose unselfish commitments of time and energy have impacted others in a beneficial way. In honoring youth achievement, the Youth Hall of Fame serves as a beacon to present and future youth.

Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics
Miami-Dade County Youth Fair & Exposition supports Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) as the primary sponsor of the Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics essay contest. The essay contest is based on a national contest that encourages college students to apply Wiesel’s call to action to “think higher and feel deeper” about ethical issues facing our society. MDCPS is distinguished as the only school district in the nation participating at the high school level.
